WEST LAFAYETTE, INDIANA (Dress Rehearsal – November 6, 2019) – Purdue Theatre’s production of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon and Directed by Kristine Holtvedt is a phenomenal story accentuated by a stunning performance. The romantic and witty tale is an amazing sequel to the classic Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin, and the show is definitely a must see. The following excerpt is courtesy of Purdue Theatre’s official website:

“From the most produced living playwright in the country comes a witty and heartwarming stage sequel to Pride & Prejudice. As the Bennet sisters gather at the Darcys’ estate for the holidays, the scholarly and socially awkward middle sister, Mary, is still living with her parents and facing an uncertain future. But the appearance of an unexpected guest at Pemberleyβ€”not only β€œa single man in possession of a good fortune” but also one who happens to be reading the exact same scientific tome as Maryβ€”raises her hopes for independence and of finding a true intellectual match.”

Dates: November 8 – 17, 2019. All performances take place at 7:30 pm, with the exception of Sunday showings at 2:30 pm.
