Through memory and reflection, this biography by Melodie Yvonne is woven together from late night stories, 90s nostalgia, and tales from a life well lived. This biographical memoir traces Nel Hoon’s early struggles and her resilience as a mother, while also offering a snapshot of the life and roots that shaped her son, Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon, into the artist he became.

Nel’s story offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the glitz and glamour of the music industry, and takes an honest look at how quickly life can turn on a dime. Bones of Gold is a story of loss, survival, devotion, and the quiet strength behind a life often overlooked… where love and hardship are held together in the same breath, and legacy is carried on in both silence and song.

All signed editions are personally autographed by Nel Hoon.

Please note that this is NOT a preorder. Each signed copy is first shipped to Indiana so Nel can sign it before it is packaged back up and sent to you. Because of this, signed editions typically take an additional 4–8 weeks to arrive.

Signed editions do cost a little more than purchasing directly through Amazon, as the price helps cover the additional shipping required to make a personally signed copy possible.
