Sorry, Not Sorry by Melodie Yvonne Ramey
Sometimes I’m sorry is just for yourself
Sometimes I’m sorry don’t help no one else
So before you apologize just stop and think
Is this to help them, or relieve my own stink?
Ask yourself if these words will help your friend
Ask yourself why you are making amends
Is it for love that you’re telling this person
Or is it just guilt, ‘cause that shit is your burden
Remember to think before you say I’m sorry
It isn’t enough just to heal your own worry
Just save those two words and learn from your lesson
Then change who you are and don’t be that same person
