Melodie Yvonne Ramey Live @ Last Sunday Poetry Reading with Writers Guild at Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON, IN (April 29, 2018) – The following videos are of me fulfilling a promise to myself that by the end of National Poetry Month I’d actually defeat my hermity ways, go out into the world, & read some of my work in front of real people. This was my 2nd open mic adventure ever in my life, and it was during the Last Sunday Poetry Reading & Open Mic with the Writers Guild at Bloomington in the Monroe Convention Center on April 29, 2018.
It’s probably best I didn’t video the 1st open mic ever from my Indianapolis excursion a few days earlier at the Poetry Open Mic at the Irving Theater ’cause it was a lil terrifying… enough that I was seriously tearing up. I’ve got a new mad respect for all performers out there for sure! I feel like it’ll get easier over time, though, and I’m definitely glad I went and ready to try again!
