The Seven Sins Personified: Sloth – Written by William Schafstall
It all started with the day I stopped going to work. Bills piled up reminding me of the debt I had accumulated. Before I knew it, collectors started calling me leaving me computerized messages, and the letters began turning colors with the severity of the situation. It was apparent to me I was in deep shit, but for some reason I was not discouraged. It was as if I had washed my worries away with every letter left on the floor.
“Dwelling on the problems will not do you any good, it will only bring you pain and suffering,” I said to myself as I sat back in my recliner amongst the piles of garbage, “Sometimes hiding from the problem is the best thing to do.”
