I See by Melodie Yvonne Ramey
I see the film grain that makes up the world
And the little things makin’ up you
I see the struggles in everyone’s life
And I see all your fears become truths
I see your heart become long for this world
With your pessimist realist views
I see you tie ropes so tight ’round your neck
Tourniquets happiness can’t get through
I see the humans that make up this world
But all you see is cannibal’s stew
I see unique visual snowflakes surround
But you wait for the rain to ensue
I see the walls you built ’round your small world
But the cage that you built I outgrew
I see a person and not wunderkind
You’re not the same you that I knew
