INDIANAPOLIS, IN (February 23, 2019) – MOKB Presents brought the phenomenal Anderson East w/special guest Lucie Silvas to The Vogue Theatre for the Encore World Tour on Saturday, February 23, 2019. East’s reputation for enticingly extraordinary performances brought fans out in droves, so the line to the door was a lengthy stretch through Broad Ripple Village despite the rain. The Vogue’s wonderful staff kept things moving, though, and within the blink of an eye all ears were inside waiting for the harmonies to begin.

Lucie Silvas started the show with an illuminating exuberance that shined on the crowd with every note. Her passion was evident in every song she sang. Lucie’s entire performance was stunning, and an awesome addition to East’s Encore World Tour.

Anderson East took the stage to the sound of a welcoming roar from the crowd like no other. His star quality crossed with his surprisingly humble demeanor promotes a feeling of devotion from his fans that thunders out of them with uncontrolled passion. It took a hot minute for the crowd to go from boil to simmer so that the set could begin.

Anderson played many marvelous melodies from his past collection as well as newer hits like the vivacious “Girlfriend“. He included a few enthralling covers as per usual like Sam & Dave’s “Hold On I’m Comin’” and an arousing version of Rod Stewart’s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” that really got the crowd riled up. East followed it all up with an outstanding encore that included bringing the lovely Lucie Silvas back out to help him deliver a show stopping performance of Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer“.

The show finally came to a bittersweet conclusion with Anderson’s timelessly heart wrenching piece, “This Too Shall Last“. He then took leave of the stage for good walking away from a crowd left ever longing for more, and already hoping for his return. No matter how many hearts he breaks, however, it’s easy to see that the Hoosier state will always have open arms for the incomparable Anderson East.

Melodie’s main focus has always been music photography. Growing up listening to many amazing musicians inspired her dream to create visual images that made people feel the way they do when listening to music. Her goal was to help people SEE the music.
