WEST LAFAYETTE, INDIANA (Dress Rehearsal – November 8, 2023) – Purdue Theatre’s current production of Faustus, That Damned Woman by Chris Burch is an extraordinarily brilliant bounce through time and consequence from start to finish. The stunning show is performed by an astounding cast immersed in the beauty of the Carole and Gordon Mallett Theatre in West Lafayette, Indiana. The show will open November 10 at the Carole and Gordon Mallett Theatre in Yue-Kong Pao Hall of Visual and Performing Arts, and follow with multiple performances through November 19, 2023. The following excerpt is courtesy of Purdue Theatre’s official website:

“Can a bad deed lead to a good outcome? Can someone surpass the unintended consequences of their actions? And can the institutions of power and privilege that define our world be broken down by anything less than divine intervention? Johanna Faustus makes a bargain with the devil, promising to deliver her soul for the chance to make right her mother’s death. Her journey becomes so much more as she attempts to claim mastery of her own person and over time itself.”
