Somebody Else Like You by Melodie Yvonne
I was wrong… there is somebody else like you
You’re a dime a dozen, but I never knew
All those boys that break toys and then they’re through
I was wrong… there’s plenty more just like you
I wish I had walked away long before
Gettin’ stuck in your stupid revolving door
But now I’m all dizzy and just wanna puke
I’d really rather wrap my mouth ’round a nuke
You broke every promise you ever made
Destroyed every present you ever gave
Ridiculed me until I felt ashamed
Threw rocks ’til I shattered and then you threw grenades
I was wrong… there is somebody else like you
You’re a dime a dozen, but I never knew
All those boys that break toys and then they’re through
I was wrong… there’s plenty more just like you
You may have left me, but I’ve left you for dead
Never again will you fuck with my head
No more of your lies and your lil false Edens
Can’t touch me no more ’cause I’ve got my freedom
You tore me down, but I built me up
Now I get to say when enough is enough
I guess I should thank you, though, really and truly
For helping me learn how to conquer a bully
I was wrong… there is somebody else like you
You’re a dime a dozen, but I never knew
All those boys that break toys and then they’re through
I was wrong… there’s plenty more just like you
