LAFAYETTE, IN – The People vs Breast Cancer Benefit Concert was a fantastic night of music, food, and charity – all for a great cause! The benefit featured free appetizers from local businesses, a silent auction full of exciting items, and phenomenal renditions of popular music from student musicians in three different bands. The concert was held in memory of Shiva Haghighi, a Purdue University alum who lost her three-year battle to breast cancer in early 2014 at the age of 28. All proceeds went to the Community Cancer Network in support of non-medical needs of local cancer patients.

The evening began with a silent auction boasting a multitude of items providing intrigue for all. The music was masterfully brought to the event by performances from The Tratio Experience & Different Pulse. The phenomenal folks at the Lafayette Theater went all out for the cause as well providing spectacular service, sound, and lights for the event as per usual. All in all when the final totals were counted the evening raised a whopping $6,191 for the Community Cancer Network.
