WEST LAFAYETTE, INDIANA (September 24, 2025) – Purdue Theatre’s production of Horse Girls by Jenny Rachel Weiner is a satirically melodramatic saga for the ages performed beautifully by a brilliant cast on the grand stage of the Carole and Gordon Mallett Theatre in the Yue-Kong Pao Hall of Visual and Performing Arts in West Lafayette, Indiana. The following excerpt is courtesy of Purdue Theatre’s official website:

“Twelve-year-old Ashleigh rules the Lady Jean Ladies, South Florida’s most exclusive horse club. News that her family’s stables are being sold and their horses killed for meat throws the Ladies into crisis in this dark comedy of middle school deception and lies. Horse Girls is a play about pre-teens: their obsessions, their insecurities and their desperate need to find a place in the world.
Note: this production explores mature themes and contains mature language and staged violence.“
