LAFAYETTE, IN (December 9, 2017) – Frank Muffin pulled off a miracle recently at the Lafayette Theater creating a pièce de résistance that will be hard to match any time soon. Somehow they managed to organize over 20 musicians, a feat that must be somewhat akin to herding cats, in order to bring to life the Beatles’ 50-year-old masterpiece, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The house was quickly packed for the magical events that were about to unfold, and as an added bonus all proceeds from the phenomenal evening would be donated to Therapeion.

Therapeion was founded in 2007 to provide therapeutic riding services for persons with disabilities and youth facing difficult life challenges. They provide equine assisted programs for persons with disabilities, children who have been victims of violence or abuse, veterans with disabilities, and for youth learning life skills. Therapeion’s purpose is to assist their participants in dealing with or overcoming their physical, emotional, behavioral, or cognitive issues, and do it with an attitude of respect, compassion, concern, and love.

Jeff Anderson warmed up the crowd for the evening with many classic melodies that set the perfect mood. An amazing version of Led Zeppelin’s “That’s the Way” was among the beautiful tunes that won over the hearts of all in attendance. All too soon the set was over. It was time for Jeff Anderson to take leave, and make way for the gigantic cast of musicians about to take the stage.

Frank Muffin and the motley crew of super skilled musicians took their positions in front of the house, and the eager crowd was more than welcoming. They broke into Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band with a phenomenal passion right at the start. Each note they played sailed out to the crowd carrying the love of every single musician on that stage. They truly embodied everything wonderful about the classic Beatles album. Their harmonies were spot on, and the tribute was entirely exquisite.

All in all the evening was a rousing success. Not only were the show proceeds to be donated to Therapeion, but everyone involved did an excellent job spreading awareness about their beautiful mission. Frank Muffin created more than just a replicated masterpiece. Their passion for not only the music, but for Therapeion as well drove these artists to make something even more grand than the iconic artists they emulated. Frank Muffin’s masterwork was one concocted from pure love, and their efforts planted a seed of compassion in the hearts of all in attendance that will continue to grow every day as the world spins on and on.

Melodie Yvonne

Melodie Yvonne, lead photographer and owner of Photographic Melodie, grew up in the small southern Indiana town of North Vernon. She picked up her first camera at the age of 5, and was immediately hooked. By the age of 15 she began to turn every trip, even just to the local park, into a fantasy scene of her own imagination, and started mentoring with many local professionals. Melodie received an Associates of Applied Science in Visual Technologies majoring in Photography from Ivy Tech in 2002 after studying under acclaimed professors and many other masters in the field.

Melodie’s main focus has always been music photography. Growing up listening to many amazing musicians inspired her dream to create visual images that made people feel the way they do when listening to music. Her goal was to help people SEE the music.

Melodie has done numerous jobs around the country ranging from working for bands to being the official photographer on many southern Indiana Poker Runs. Her specialties are in nature, music, and candid event photography. She published her first print work, a collection of images & poetry, in 2011, and has since published many more print works. Melodie currently acts as owner & lead photographer at Photographic Melodie, House Photographer for Purdue Theatre, and Tour Photographer for multiple Billboard Charts topping bands as well as freelance work with many other media outlets, venues, and musicians.
